Yummy leashes and collars

I admit it, I did a little shopping while at the Thanksgiving Cluster last weekend.

I saw some lovely leather leashes at the Cape Cod Kennel Club trial last summer. They were the softest, strongest leather, in beautiful colors, and I fell for them. The handler of the dogs wearing them said she got them “at the Thanksgiving Cluster.” She kinda wouldn’t (couldn’t?) tell me the name of the maker, but I found the right stand at the Cluster. And I bought Chico a martingale slip lead for agility:

Tan, like he is, and lovely dark green.

And a two-foot long leash for walking in places where he needs to stay right next to me:

Two shades of green. This one's for me, green is my favorite color.

And, there’s one more that I would consider getting…

The utility lead configures a number of ways, including allowing you to put it around your waist for hands-free dog control.

But two new leashes (and not inexpensive ones at that*) in one day, was enough of a holiday-present-to-myself for now.

*Not budget-breaking, but not your $8.95 supermarket leash either.
