On Saturday, Chico and I won performance speed jumping in the 16 inch class. Yes there were only two dogs in the second round and the other one didn’t qualify, but we won. To win we had to run two hard, fast courses; run them clean, and not be slow.
In the first class of the day, we were clean, but almost a full second over the allowed time.
We had a great weekend, in and out of the ring.
And on Saturday afternoon, I stopped by one of those chain haircut places for a desperately needed trim. In conversation I mentioned that I’d be 60 soon. When I went to pay for my already inexpensive haircut, I discovered that I had received a 20% senior discount. I don’t feel old, but apparently I have lived long enough turn some privileges. I might not have been so happy about the discount if I hadn’t just done something successful in the physical arena.
